Our Frequently Asked Questions

ANSWERS TO ALL OF YOUR BURNING QUESTIONS

What is the first step to getting a Grayson Creek Doodle?

Whether the puppy has been born already, or you are looking to get on a waiting list, the first step in our adoption process is our application. There is no "right" or "wrong" answer here, we just want to learn more about you! From there, if approved you can put down a deposit!

How do your deposits work?

If you are interested in putting down a deposit prior to the birth of a litter/puppy you can reserve a spot and position on our waiting list with a $200 non-refundable deposit. This deposit is transferable between litters. As you know we can never guarantee due date, number of puppies, gender, or markings/color - but we do our best to give you our best guess on things like litter size, due date, and color.

If you are ready to put your deposit down on your puppy of choice, a $1000 deposit is required with the remaining payment due at 6 weeks of age.

Does my puppy come with anything?

Your puppy will join your family pre-spoiled and loved by us. Your puppy will come to you with the following:

  • Our 2 year Health Guarantee

  • A personal health record

  • Welcome Package

  • Sample of Puppy Food for Transitioning

  • Socialization with multiple people

  • Socialization with multiple dogs of all ages and sizes

  • Knowledge of potty training basics

  • Knowledge of bite-inhibition basics

They are a part of our family before joining yours!

What payment methods do you accept?

Effective March 2018 we will only accept payments via Venmo, Cashapp. We use to accept check, but I swear my city post office stinks and I have more lost checks, then delivered. So, not to make it any more stressful on either of us, we are switching to strictly Venmo or Cashapp. Both are secure, it is zero fee for either of us, and instant! If you have any questions let me know and I'd be happy to walk you through it! *IF neither are an option check would be considered as a last resort - but we are not responsible for lost mail - and recommend you send it certified.

We don't live local, do you ship?

We do ship! And we have a few options for you! We can ship cargo via Delta, and we have had nothing but awesome success with shipping Delta, everyone arrives super happy, tails wagging, and offering up lots of kisses! We also offer a flight nanny! Shipping is $375, and Flight nanny can range on average from $400-475 depending on location and availability. - the ONLY downside to a flight nanny is that scheduling CAN be unpredictable, anyone who has ever traveled knows that flights get delayed, cancelled, and flights come and go all hours of the day. Flight nannies often fly *Stand By* and this means that no schedule is a guarantee. We just ask that if you do choose the flight nanny route that you understand that travel delays can happen and flexibility is key.

We live nearby, do you allow visitors?

We do not allow visitors in our home. We do this for several reasons. First of all, we do this for the safety of our puppies, a newborn puppy is just as fragile as a newborn baby, and illness is life threatening. Visitors have the possibility of tracking in disease, and illness (without even knowing they are) that could threaten the well being of an entire litter.
Additionally, just like you, our home is our sanctuary, with cases of theft of litters, and murders of breeders we decide to err on the side of caution and not put ourselves in that position. Rest assured we have absolutely nothing to hide! We are 100% willing to call, send videos, and FaceTime with you! We want you to feel included and like you know your baby just as much as you do. We take pride in the home and life our puppies (and dogs) are raised in!

Do you offer breeding rights?

Our puppies are either sold on a strict spay/neuter contract. We DO offer breeding rights at an additional cost to approved breeders. If you would be interested in breeding rights, please tell me this BEFORE you place your deposit! You deposit is still non-refundable if you want breeding rights and they are not granted.

How often will I get "Pupdates"?

I do a photoshoot every two weeks minimum. I know how exciting it is, and I try to keep you posted on photos as often as possible with fun snapshots or little videos, but please remember that sometimes life happens. Getting good photos of squirmy puppies is no easy feat!

Will my puppy come with his worming/vaccinations?

Your puppy will come up to date on all vacations and wormings (but there will be additional boosters, and rabies needed as your puppy gets older). You will receive all immunization records, as well as a certificate from our vet.

Does my puppy come with a guarantee?

YES! You will receive a two year health guarantee against genetic health problems.

Are your parent dogs health tested?

Yes, all of our dogs are clear from over 160 genetic diseases that we test for.

What is your policy on returns?

There are no exceptions to this rule. Please do not place a deposit if you are not certain you will be ready for a new puppy in your home in the near future! Please do not choose your puppy and make your final payments unless you are sure that is the puppy you want and you are ready for a new puppy in your home! Puppies, just like newborn babies, are not easy no matter how much we do, there will still be lots of work involved. Deposits and payments are considered retainers and are non-refundable under any circumstances. Your puppy will ALWAYS have a home with us, no matter what. All puppies are required to returned to us in the event that you are no longer able to keep your puppy/dog. No refunds will be granted in this situation.

If I can't take my new puppy home when he is ready, are there any other options?

There is a $140 weekly boarding fee for every day after your puppy is available to be picked up or delivered, starting on the first day. This covers the cost of food, de-worming, and boarding. We will board your puppy for up to 2 weeks past the pickup or delivery date.

Where do your dogs live?

ALL of our parents live in home, no pet of ours will ever spend a night alone outside! We do use a guardian home system, and we do this for the well being and happiness of all of our parents. We feel that a dog is much better off in a loving home where they can get ample amounts of love and devotion, instead of having to share the spotlight with several other pooches. I raise all litters in my home. I personally have 4 amazing babies in my home full time, and our other parent dogs are spread out amongst our closest and most trusted family members.
